How to Convert DVI to VGA Cable

time2010/11/01

Digital video interface (DVI) technology almost exclusively applies for connection between computer video cards and LCD monitors. Video graphics array (VGA) hardware standard was widely used in the 1990s and early 2000s, but has become obsolete now. Older monitors or TVs still have VGA inputs. You can convert a standard DVI cable to a VGA one using available cable adapters.
Instructions
Purchase or acquire a DVI to VGA adapter.
Connect the female DVI connector of the adapter to one end of the standard DVI cable.
Plug the second end of the DVI cable to the DVI port of the device, such as a computer video card.
Plug the VGA male connector of the adapter to the VGA port of a monitor or TV set.
